SZ -Aktion-Mein-Lieblingsplatz - A natural feast for the eyes at any time of year/ "Herberloch"
In the hollow of a former quarry (Taunus quartzite), a small, almost mirror-like lake, the "Herberloch", has formed with human help. In the centre is a small island surrounded by water lilies.
The rock faces in ochre-coloured brown tones stand out harmoniously against the white trunks of the birch trees on the bank. Two wooden benches on the embankment offer visitors a suitable opportunity to linger in this beautiful spot and enjoy the peace and quiet, completely free from the stress of everyday life.
I always enjoy coming to this true gem, where the water lilies open in the morning and the sun peeps through the coniferous tree tops for the last time in the evening. For me personally, the "Herberloch" is a real feast for the eyes at any time of year and a place that I love to return to again and again!
On the occasion of my birthday this year, I was given a wooden sign with the inscription "Herberloch" by my colleagues, which I was very pleased about, because not everyone can claim to have a sign for their favourite place.
The head of Weiskirchen, Stefan Schuh, is also enthusiastic about this romantic spot, an idyllic oasis of peace in the middle of the beautiful Weiskirchen forest. The "Herberloch", located north-east of Weiskirchen, can be reached via the Hochwaldpfad.
