After two strenuous stages, relaxation is on the agenda today. The stage starts with an impressive highlight, Grimburg Castle, a large, partially reconstructed complex situated on a ridge above the Wadrill Valley. From the valley near Grimburgerhof, a path leads slowly uphill to the castle. Climbing the castle tower is a must, as it offers a wonderful view of the surrounding Wadrilltal valley.
The next few kilometers are pure relaxation. The trail leads through the secluded, quiet and natural valley of the Wadrill. It changes sides several times, offering varied views of the pristine stream landscape of the Wadrill. The meadow landscape in which the stream is embedded is a nature reserve.
At the Frau Holle rock formation, we leave the trail for today and take an access road to the stage village of Reinsfeld. On the way, we see a currently abandoned beaver lodge shortly before Reinsfeld.

Ausrüstung
We recommend sturdy footwear (hiking boots) and hiking clothing suitable for the weather on all stages.
Sicherheitshinweise
The Saar-Hunsrück-Steig is a near-natural trail, 65% of which is over soft forest soil, grass paths or along streams. This special quality can make parts of the trail difficult to walk on after long periods of rain. Sturdy footwear is therefore highly recommended.
